This past weekend was the Boston OCD Walk. Each year Not Alone Notes has a table with an activity. In the past, we have had people who stop by our table write a note to someone with OCD in a treatment center. This year we tried something different. This new idea was inspired by a table at the Massachusetts NAMI Walk in May. There was a booth where participants would take a note of hope, and then write a note to replace the one that they had previously taken. This is a cycle that would continue as people took notes and wrote notes. I thought this was a great idea for the OCD walk! Who doesn’t love a note of hope?!

We had blank cards, stickers, and markers for those who wanted to write notes. Over 100 cards were written (and taken) throughout the day.

Here are some examples of the notes. Fun fact, my mom painted the wooden clothespins to make them blue to match our table!

The progression of our Boston OCD Walk tables over the years! This year our table had a glow-up with a fabric Not Alone Notes tablecloth.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hello and write a note! We will see you again next year!
